DigesTip proteinase K is a micro-bioreactor shaped as a pipette tip containing immobilized proteinase K. DigesTip proteinase K exhibits great performance in terms of ease of use, digestion time and quality of results. It is unprecedentedly effective on native proteins and a powerful resource for rapid inactivation of endogenous RNase and DNase during nucleic acid isolation. DigesTip proteinase K is compatible with the majority of 20 μl and 200 μl single-channel and multi-channel pipettors, including Gilson, Rainin, Eppendorf, Biohit, Brand.

	DigestTip proteinase K offers broad substrate specificity, maintaining high activity with a wide range of salts, denaturants, detergents, and with buffers commonly used in DNA and RNA isolation procedures.
	DigestTip proteinase K gives you back your valuable time. Protein digestion usually requires up to several hours. With DigestTip proteinase K 1 minute is enough. All that is required is to pipette the sample to be digested, pressing and releasing the plunger repeatedly for 1 minute.
	A lab-automation robot can do this! DigestTip proteinase K, being proven for use on a variety of automated liquid handling systems, can be used in automated high-throughput proteomics pipelines.

Technical Facts

Southern blot analysis. Murine stem cells were solubilised with lysis buffer and digested both with ordinary proteinase K and with DigesTip proteinase K. After digestion, genomic DNA was extracted with the phenol/chloroform method, digested with EcoRI and separated on agarose gel, then transferred to a nylon filter and hybridized with 32P–specific probe.

Lane A: Sample digested overnight with  ordinary proteinase K, 300 µg/ml, at 55°C.
Lane B: Sample digested with DigesTip proteinase K for 1 minute at room temperature.
Lane C: Negative control.
