"Improving High-Throughput Proteomics"
technologies and industrial applications
Conference Room "Toscana Life Sciences Foundation"
Via Fiorentina 1, Siena Italy
Abstract:
High-throughput Proteomics represents a fascinating challenge for modern molecular biotechnology. New developments pave the way to a wide set of important applications in different areas: from Research, to the Production Processes and to the Design of innovative devices.
This workshop illustrates new technological resources that help high-throughput proteomics to be simple, faster, more robust and powerful. New technologies will be discussed also in terms of their implementation, focusing specifically on automation and on their contribution to the achievement of your specific goals.
Lecturers:
Jean Luc Veuthey - Università di Ginevra
"New analytical strategies to perform automated enzymatic assays"
The importance of immobilized enzymes/proteins for the development of methods/solutions/products bringing real advantages in a high-throughput approach
Roberto Marangoni - ProteoGen Bio
"Proteins vs. proteins: how to face the proteomic complexity by exploiting the protein themselves"
Introducing ProteoGen Bio, its proprietary technology (and why it is different from others), its products and how they can be part of a high-throughput framework
Norman Kairies - Hamilton
"Lab automation: a way to improve high-throughput proteomics"
Automation as the preferred way to implement a real high-throughput application, independent of human intervention by adopting a complete high-throughput solutions (Hamilton for Proteomics and other Life Sciences applications).
Sabrina Liberatori - Novartis Vaccines
"Proteomics applied to Vaccine Discovery"
A successful case study of a high throughput approach used by a top Company to prove "high throughput" feasibility even in real industrial contexts.
